This one is interesting. Modern metal that takes its cues from thrash, nu-metal, and hard rock, tho it’s not really any of those. The vocals are killer- clean, but focusing on rhythm more than melody. The band clearly worshipped at the altar of the thrash masters, and when they hit their groove, as so often they do, I feel the spirits of SOD, Exodus, and Death Angel watching over them. The bass is the standout- loud, clean, and groovy.

I've always been on the fence about Elder. The musicianship was always there but it never clicked. Omens and Innate Passage have certainly changed that.
